At least three South Dakota school districts are giving parents a new way to shop for school supplies this year.

With one or two clicks, parents at Baltic Elementary, Dell Rapids Elementary and Garretson Elementary can order pre-filled school supply carts directly from their child’s school website, and have all the necessities they need to start the new year shipped right to their homes.

More than 50,000 schools offer the one-stop option, tied to TeacherLists.com, a website for parents to search for their school supply list anywhere in the nation,
according to a press release from TeacherLists.

“For decades, the supply list process has been a frustration for parents,” TeacherLists President John Driscoll said. “Where to find the lists? When are they available?  Forgetting the list on the counter at home. Hunting the aisles for the specific items their teacher has requested. All of those issues are solved with TeacherLists.”

All parents have to do is look for the button or widget on their school or school district’s website.

Once parents find what they need online, shopping carts are automatically filled by retailers like Target, Walmart, Office Depot, Amazon and more.
