They invite young learners to play while strengthening memory, early problem-solving, and language skills. This easy-to-use version needs just a pencil, an eraser, and a printed memory game template\u2014perfect for quick prep and lots of fun. As children shade and erase matching pairs, they\u2019re building fine motor skills, practicing proper pencil grip, and developing hand-eye coordination.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>STAEDTLER\u00ae My First Norica 4mm graphite pencil<\/li>\n<li>STAEDTLER\u00ae Mars plastic eraser<\/li>\n<li>Printable memory game template\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.teacherlists.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Animal-Memory-game-Template.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3 printable designs<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Choose your favorite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teacherlists.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Animal-Memory-game-Template.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">memory game template<\/a>\u2014underwater creatures, land animals, or heroes of the skies. Have your students work in pairs. Once everything is shaded, students take turns using an eraser to reveal two pictures at a time, trying to find matching pairs. If the images match, they keep the pair (or get a point); if not, they re-shade and move on.
