Before you pack up your classroom for the next few months, go through this checklist of last-minute to-dos, then you\u2019re free to soak up the summer rays!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Take Inventory<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You\u2019re likely down a few classroom items since the beginning of the year. Things break, students accidentally take things home\u2013life happens. See what you have left that\u2019s still in decent shape for next year. Throw out whatever\u2019s no good, pack up what you\u2019ll use next year, and don\u2019t forget to offer up your unnecessary gently used supplies to your colleagues!\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Claim Your Lounge Items<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This is your reminder to grab that mug you keep leaving in the cabinet summer after summer.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Reflect on the Year<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What went well? What didn\u2019t go as planned? Revisit your lesson plans and classroom activities to determine what to use again next year. Take it a step further and ask your students what their favorite and least favorite activities were.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Celebrate with Your Students<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You did it! They couldn\u2019t have done it without you, and vice versa. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teacherlists.com\/blog\/5-end-of-the-school-year-party-ideas\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Throw a party<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for the whole class\u2013games, selfie stations, the whole nine yards to commemorate all the accomplishments you\u2019ve achieved together!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Delete Those Old Emails<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We know, we know. <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What if this will be important later? Shouldn\u2019t I keep it just in case? <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Some of your emails have been sitting in your inbox since the beginning of the year, and old emails clutter your mind just like a cluttered desk. Get \u2018em out of there!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Clean Up Your Classroom in Sections<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cleaning and packing up for the summer is a notoriously daunting task. Instead of coming in one afternoon and doing it all in a single go, break it down into smaller chunks in the weeks leading up to the last day of school.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For example,<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Organize the classroom library on Monday<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Empty classroom cabinets on Tuesday\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Vacuum rugs and carpets on Wednesday<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Clear walls on Thursday<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Clean your desk on Friday<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Get Grades In<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Double, triple, and quadruple check that every assignment is graded and accounted for.
